About The Potty Potter
Welcome to The Potty Potter — a slightly whimsical, occasionally chaotic corner of the world where pottery, art, stories and tiny ceramic citizens all live together.
I am a disabled, neurodiverse potter and lifelong creative. Art has always been part of who I am, and pottery was one of my first loves back in my teens. Life took me away from it for many years, but I found my way back around four years ago — and I have been completely bitten by the bug ever since.
The Potty Potter is not only about pottery. It is about creativity in all its forms, loving what you make, following the ideas that refuse to leave you alone, and giving the strange little characters in your head somewhere to exist.
A major life change over the last year has brought me to this point: sharing some of my madness with the world. As a late-diagnosed neurodiverse artist, I have found that my work gives me peace, purpose and a place where my mind can finally breathe.
My whimsical characters and stories have been living in my head for far too long, and now they are beginning to escape.
Over time, The Potty Potter may grow to include storybooks, poetry, art, decals, print-on-demand designs, limited pottery runs and whatever else the creative chaos decides to produce. The plans are big, even if the energy sometimes has to be carefully rationed.
Any handmade pottery I offer will usually be one-off pieces or small limited runs, created as and when my health allows. I will not be accepting commissions, because nothing murders the creative juices quite like being told exactly what to make.
I hope you enjoy your time here, the characters you meet, and the worlds still waiting to be made.
The Potty Potter has big plans.
And the tiny ceramic citizens are getting restless.
